Legion LLC, DBA Legion Solutions, is a full-service corrosion company providing corrosion control, pipeline integrity management and cathodic protection (CP) design, materials, installation, testing, training, inspection, and project management. We are a certified minority-owned and operated small business with decades of experience in the oil, gas, water, wastewater, and utility industries. Our specialty is providing comprehensive support to the industries in the fields of corrosion, integrity management, Right-of-Way support, locate and mark, and staff augmentation.

Position Summary

Legion is seeking an entry-level Corrosion / Cathodic Protection Engineer to be based out of our San Ramon, CA office (remote work is possible) to complement our Corrosion Engineering and Integrity Management Team. You will participate in both field work and desktop work. This will be a great job for someone who likes to get their hands dirty and challenge themselves to learn and master many skills quickly.


    You will be responsible for data collection (desktop and in the field), research and analyses for corrosion and pipeline integrity-related projects. You will be performing detailed analyses and data evaluation for client pipelines and facilities. Eventually you will be responsible for providing oversight of field inspection teams, creating technical reports, interacting with customers and travel to client facilities. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Metallurgical or Materials Engineers are preferred, however Electrical and Mechanical Engineers will be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
  • Willingness to make a commitment to development of technical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to tailor communications to everyone from the Janitor to the CEO.
  • Exhibit great attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop skills and certifications through applicable industry organizations, such as NACE International.

Working Environment / Physical Demands

  • Ability to drive off-road or a willingness to learn.
  • Some work will be in the field and remote wilderness locations.
  • You will be frequently required to stand; walk; stoop; reach; climb; bend.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a "Fit for Duty" physical exam.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
